About this item

  • Super easy to grow indoors, or outdoors in non-freezing zones. Just avoid temps below 50 F, and it will do well! chocolate fragrance in bloom! ‘Nuff said!
  • Fast grower, easy to bloom, excellent for orchid beginners (and everyone else!). Lots of flowers with 10 – 20 buds per flower spike on more mature plants.
  • How to grow--light: bright, shady conditions. Avoid direct sun. Water: 2X/week. Media: New Zealand Sphagnum Moss is excellent, although bark works well, too. Fertilizer: balanced fertilizer every two weeks. Temperature: 50 deg F – 95 deg F; keep well watered and misted when very hot. Avoid freezing!
  • Please look carefully at photos to get an idea of size! There’s a pen or coin in each pic as a size reference. Photo is representative of plant you will receive. Sizes offered are SD1 (with one bulb), SD2 (with two bulbs or more), NBS (Near Blooming Size, 6 – 12 months from Blooming Size), and BS (Blooming Size, in 3.25" square pots, capable of blooming any time). Plants potted up in New Zealand Sphagnum Moss or pine bark. Important Note: plants are not in-bud/bloom when shipped.
